Ultherapy Skin Tightening

There are countless options available today when it comes to rejuvenating aging skin on your face. It used to be that your only choice when it came to lifting and tightening loose or sagging skin on your face was to undergo an invasive facelift. But today, dermatologists like world-renowned Dr. Sadick have an ever-evolving landscape of nonsurgical devices and techniques to choose from to help refresh tired skin and restore a more youthful appearance. At Sadick Dermatology, we offer Ultherapy, a nonsurgical treatment that utilizes ultrasound technology to tighten, lift and tone sagging skin on your face. If you’ve started to see a softening of your jawline, the beginnings of a “turkey wattle” or merely an overall loss of elasticity in your face, Ultherapy may be the answer.

Ultherapy is FDA-approved to treat your neck, jawline and brow area, as well as to address aging skin on your chest, all without surgery or downtime. Ultherapy is the only nonsurgical treatment that can uniquely target the deep foundation tissue below the surface of the skin without surgery. It is also the only procedure to utilize ultrasound imaging, which allows Dr. Sadick to accurately see the layers of skin targeted during the treatment, ensuring that the energy is deposited exactly where it is most effective.

FAQ

Most frequent questions and answers

The best candidates for Ultherapy are typically those who are in their mid-thirties or older, whose skin has “relaxed” to the point where it looks and often feels less firm, as well of those with other symptoms of age, including:

  • Mild to moderate lines, wrinkles and skin laxity on your face
  • A lowered or drooping browline
  • Sagging under the chin
  • Loose skin on the neck
  • A less-defined jawline or the beginnings of jowls
  • Wrinkles on the décolleté
  • Cellulite and stretch marks
  • Vaginal laxity
While ultherapy is not a replacement for the results achieved with a surgical facelift, it can be an ideal choice for those who may want or need a bit of a lift, but are not ready either mentally, financially, or logistically for surgery. Ultherapy is also an excellent choice for younger patients who want to stay ahead of the effects of aging and those looking to prolong the effects of previous cosmetic surgery.

Ultherapy addresses the foundation tissue below the skin by inducing collagen growth at a deep level, encouraging a regenerative response that works to create new collagen that will assist in tightening and smoothing the areas you choose to address. Specifically, by renewing the tissue from within, Ultherapy can lift the brow to reduce excess skin in the upper eyelid, opens the eyes, and gives a more refreshed look in the upper face. In the mid-face, tightening of the SMAS (the layer of tissue covering the deeper structures in the cheek area) can provide an improvement to nasolabial creases, jowl formation, loss of contour and lift in the cheeks, and a softened jawline.

Ultherapy around the perioral region can eliminate fine lines and fine wrinkles around the mouth and lips, while treating the platysma muscle of the neck through the overlying tissue can provide tightening of the skin and restore a more youthful contour to your neck. Additionally, treatment of the upper chest in women can smooth out fine wrinkles as well as tighten the skin of the décolleté region. Ultherapy is also highly effective at reducing the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks in treated areas, as well as tightening lax vaginal skin.

For some patients, one Ultherapy session may provide the beautiful results they are looking for; others may need to undergo multiple session to achieve superior results. Each Ultherapy treatment takes between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area. Once the procedure is complete, you may enjoy some immediate initial effects, but the ultimate lifting and tightening will take place over the course of two to three months, as your body’s natural processes work to generate new, healthy collagen. As this collagen-building process progresses, further improvements will appear for up to six months following your Ultherapy procedure.

Results are long-lasting, especially when combined with a skin care regimen designed to prevent further aging. With Ultherapy, you will see dramatic results without surgery, downtime or side effects. The best part is that you will still look completely natural – everyone will notice something different about you, but no one will be able to tell that you’ve had anything “done.”
