Last Minute Treatments

About

With so much on their to-do list, we often meet brides who have prioritized everything about their special day except themselves. From the invitations to the flowers, music, food, seating, centerpieces…so much focus is put on the guests that she forgets to spend time on herself. Moreover, the stress of wedding planning can lead to dull, uneven skin or worse, breakouts. Not exactly what a bride needs leading up to one of the happiest days of her life (not to mention one when all eyes will be on her).

Fortunately, the team at Sadick Dermatology is here to help. We pride ourselves on providing the best bridal skincare treatments in NYC. Not to worry if you haven’t had a chance to plan ahead. Our providers know what you are going through and we have a range of last minute treatments that can give your skin a boost leading up to your
wedding day.

Determining the right treatment depends on many factors, including the concerns you want to address and the time we have at our disposal. However, sticking with the theme of “last-minute treatments” here are a few of our most popular services brides choose from a couple weeks all the way down to a couple days before their wedding.

Problem: Your skin tone looks dull and uneven and you have some sun-damage
Treatment: Clear and Brilliant / Permea
What it Is: 15-20 minute non-invasive laser treatment that can brighten and tighten your skin, reduce visible signs of aging and sun-damage. Sometimes referred to as the baby fraxel, this
gentle yet effective laser treatment is the go-to choice for brides looking for glowing wedding-day skin.
How Close Before Your Wedding Can You Do It? Generally, a series of 3-5 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart are optimal for overall rejuvenation. However, results can be seen with just one
treatment, 2-3 weeks before the big day.
Bridal Bonus Tip: Ask for PRP after your Clear and Brilliant or Permea treatment. This will not only enhance your glow but significantly expedite healing time.

Problem: You have fine lines and wrinkles
Treatment: Botox, Dysport or Xeomin
What it Is: Botox, Dysport or Xeomin are neuromodulators that when injected into facial muscles, blocks the enzyme responsible for moving these muscles, and the temporarily minimizes the appearance of moderate-to-severe wrinkles.
How Close Before Your Wedding Can You Do It? Botox should be injected 2-4 weeks before the big day. If you are concerned about the results, it is wise to schedule a test Botox treatment 6
months before your wedding day.
Bridal Bonus Tip: Botox is not just for the fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes, it can also be injected into your neck and jawline for a tighter appearance.

Problem: Acne and Blackheads
Treatment: Facials with/without extractions
What it Is: Facials are a non-invasive way to get your skin the glow it needs for your wedding day. Let’s be real- weddings are stressful and many brides suffer from acne and blackheads.
Aside from meeting with a Board Certified Dermatologist, a series of monthly facials 3-6 months before your wedding, will keep your skin clear. Your facialist will customize a treatment for you based on your skin’s needs. This may include extracting blackheads/whiteheads or light peels.
How Close Before Your Wedding Can You Do It? For problem skin, a series of 3-6 sessions is optimal, with your last being 1 week before your wedding day.
Bridal Bonus Tip: Speak with your aesthetician or Dermatologist to customize a skin care plan that is right for you!

Problem: Painful acne cyst or bump
Treatment: Extraction and Intralesional Injection with Steroid
What it Is: This treatment is excellent for that 911 emergency pimple! Your dermatologist will drain the acne cyst with a sterile instrument (DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME!) and inject a dilute cortisone called Kenalog into the cyst. This treatment will flatten the acne cyst within 24 hours.
How Close Before Your Wedding Can You Do It? We perform a lot of emergency pimple injections up to the day before your wedding!
Bridal Bonus Tip: For your convenience, we carry a topical spot treatment medication that will further reduce the size and appearance of the acne cyst or cysts.
